Abner is the owner and lead officiant of Married by AE, committed to making your ceremony truly unforgettable. Based in Katy, Texas, and proudly serving the greater Houston area and surroundings. Abner specializes in helping couples share their love story in a way that is both authentic and meaningful. It is his genuine honor to be a part of such an important milestone in your life. Abner speaks fluent Spanish and is proud to be a Guatemalan-American.

As a local pastor with over 200 ceremonies officiated, Abner brings a wealth of experience and a warm, personable approach to each wedding, ensuring your ceremony runs smoothly and seamlessly.

Abner is happily married to Lucero and is the proud father of three wonderful children. Outside of officiating weddings, he enjoys watching sports and coaching his kids’ teams.

Abner and Lucy España are the heart behind Married By AE, a husband-and-wife team united by faith, family, and a shared calling to serve couples with intention and care.
What began as an encouragement to Abner from Lucy grew into a business built on Abner’s natural gift for officiating and Lucy’s strengths in organization, communication, and operations. They work side by side, with Abner leading couples through meaningful ceremonies and Lucy ensuring every behind-the-scenes detail is handled with clarity and excellence.
Family is at the center of everything they do. As parents of three, Abner and Lucy believe marriage is strengthened through mutual support, shared values, and a deep commitment to one another. They strive to model the kind of partnership they hope their children one day find, one rooted in love, respect, faith, and teamwork.
They often say they are not each other’s halves, but two whole people who become more together. That belief shapes their marriage, their family, and the way they serve every couple who trusts Married By AE with one of the most meaningful moments of their lives.
LUCY ESPAÑA
OWNER + OPERATIONS
I’m the behind-the-scenes support at Married By AE, making sure every couple feels guided, cared for, and confident from the moment they reach out. While my husband leads ceremonies and consultations, I manage the operational side of the business to ensure every detail is handled with care.

I was born in Mexico and raised in Houston, and as a second-generation American, I became bilingual over time. That journey gave me a deep appreciation for how culture, language, and family intersect, especially in meaningful moments like weddings. When Abner and I got married, I had never attended a bilingual wedding, so our own ceremony became our first experience bringing two languages together. At the time, we didn’t realize God was planting the seeds for what would later become a calling to serve couples with that same vision.

We have been married for 15 years, and I’ve been honored to support and encourage him as he stepped into business ownership using the gifts God had already placed in him. Married By AE was built through faith, obedience, and a shared desire to serve couples with professionalism, heart, and purpose.
NERY ESPAÑA
Bilingual Officiant
Meet Nery! He has had a passion for ministry for as long as he can remember. Growing up as a pastor’s kid, he’s witnessed and officiated countless weddings, giving him a deep appreciation for love and commitment. With Nery, you can expect a ceremony that’s not only personal and meaningful but also fun and full of warmth. As a seasoned communicator and officiant, he knows exactly how to make your day unforgettable.

And yes, you guessed it—Nery is Abner’s younger brother! Sharing the same vision and passion for creating beautiful moments, he’s thrilled to be working alongside his brother to make couples’ dreams come true.

Nery is happily married to his best friend, Valeria, and is the proud father of three amazing children. When he’s not officiating weddings, you’ll find him enjoying family time and cooking some amazing Latin food.
MANNY DORADO
Bilingual Officiant
Meet Manny! A Southern California native. He has been immersed in ministry from a young age. As a musician in the church band and later as a youth pastor, he’s spent over 15 years refining his skills as a leader and communicator. Manny’s passion for making your wedding day as unforgettable as the love you share shines through in everything he does.

Known for his approachable nature and laid-back style, Manny has a special talent for making you and your fiancé feel completely at ease and truly seen as you approach your big day.

A true hopeless romantic, Manny has been happily married to his wife Vanessa for over 14 years, and together, they share a deep love that inspires everything he does.
CHRISTIAN RODRIGUEZ

Meet Christian! Raised in Mexico as a missionary pastor's kid, he grew up surrounded by love and weddings thanks to watching his dad officiate countless ceremonies. This gave him a unique perspective on what makes a wedding truly special, and he’s all about making your big day feel personal, meaningful, and full of heart.

Christian’s friendly, approachable nature makes him easy to talk to, ensuring that you and your fiancé will feel comfortable on your wedding day.

When he’s not officiating weddings, Christian is fully focused on his work in ministry and spending time with his amazing family. He’s a proud husband to Hiromy and a devoted dad to his twin girls and son.
JAIME JIMENEZ
Bilingual Officiant
Meet Jaime! He is from Colombia but calls Houston home. He brings a unique blend of warmth, faith, and creativity to every ceremony he officiates. A talented musician with a heart of a pastor, Jaime has a natural gift for guiding and leading others, helping couples feel supported and inspired as they celebrate one of the most important days of their lives.

A devoted husband and father, Jaime treasures spending his free time with his wife and daughters. Known for his outgoing personality and quick sense of humor, he knows how to add just the right amount of charm and personality to a ceremony while keeping it meaningful, balanced, and heartfelt.

Jaime feels honored to walk alongside couples as they begin this new chapter together, creating ceremonies that reflect their love, values, faith, and the joy of their unique story.
EMIL NIZ
Bilingual Officiant
Meet Emil! He has called Houston home for most of his life. A devoted family man, he treasures quality time with his loved ones, and being the true Argentinian that he is, he enjoys cheering on a good match of fútbol whenever he can. He is a loving husband, father, educator, friend, and follower of Jesus.
When he’s not officiating weddings, Emil can be found refereeing soccer games or teaching, guiding and inspiring his students with patience and care. Officiating allows him to bring that same dedication and attention to detail to every couple he serves, helping them feel confident, supported, and fully present on their special day.
Known for his warm, down-to-earth personality, Emil loves creating ceremonies that reflect each couple’s unique love story, values, and faith. He feels honored to walk alongside couples as they begin this exciting new chapter in their lives.
ELIER FIGUEROA

Meet Elier! Elier Figueroa is a bilingual wedding officiant fluent in both English and Spanish, originally from Puerto Rico and now serving couples throughout the Houston area. Known for his down-to-earth personality and genuine approach, Elier brings warmth, clarity, and intention to every ceremony he leads.

A man of many talents, Elier is also a Houston-based realtor. In both roles, his heart is the same which is helping people reach meaningful milestones in their lives. Whether he’s guiding a couple through one of the most important days of their relationship or helping a family find a place to call home, Elier serves with care and integrity.

Having spent most of his life involved in ministry, Elier has a deep understanding of faith, commitment, and family. His calm presence and thoughtful delivery help couples feel at ease and fully present as they begin this new chapter together.
